My name is Connie Powers. Roger Moore and I have been together for 24 years. In May of this year, he got sick and had to quit work. The doctors said he had heart failure and a stomach aneurysm. He needed open heart surgery, so they tried that, but they had to abort the surgery. His heart was too weak. So the next morning, they decided on stents. So he got that done.

Then he had another problem - kidney failure, so we were back at the hospital again. Now, he's on dialysis three times a week. If our luck couldn't get any worse, I had to take him back to the hospital a week ago. He had to have surgery on his small intestine. They repaired it, but he's in critical condition. But I only make $943.00 SSI a month. I'm behind on all our bills. Sometimes, it seems hopeless.
