Helping Rodrigo Fight Back Against Brain Cancer

Rodrigo is one of those people who has always shown up; for his family, for his work, and for life itself. A dedicated construction worker who spent years mastering his craft, first in the concrete industry and then as a carpenter. He has always taken care of himself, eating well, never drinking or smoking, and poured everything he had into providing for his wife Flavia and their bright, energetic 4-year-old son, Caio.

Then, without much warning, everything changed.

For about a year, Rodrigo had been experiencing persistent headaches and a foggy mind, symptoms that are easy to dismiss in a hardworking man who never complains. But just before Christmas, Rodrigo collapsed and lost movement in his legs. The diagnosis that followed was devastating – stage 4 brain cancer.

Rodrigo is currently undergoing radiation treatment, fighting with the same quiet strength that has defined his entire life. While his spirit remains unbroken, the treatment has taken a physical toll, robbing him of much of the strength he has always relied on. Medical bills are mounting rapidly, and Rodrigo is no longer able to work or provide financially for the family he loves so deeply. After his treatment, Rodrigo and his family are planning to return to Brazil to be close to his mother, because when life gets this hard, family is everything.
