My brother Rodney was traveling abroad in Thailand and Vietnam when he was found unconscious in his hotel room in Danang, Vietnam. I was contacted on the phone by a gentleman from the hotel staff who has been very helpful and he stated that Rodney was in the Hospital. I was told that my brother could not speak and that he had multiple organ failure. After getting a Visa to travel to Vietnam my mother and her travel buddy flew to Vietnam to meet with the doctors and to try to get my brother back to the states. I could not go because of my own health issues. My brother's kidneys have failed and he needs dialysis daily. Multiple doctors have suggested moving him to a hospital in Singapore to address his kidney issues. The cost to fly him in a medical air ambulance is $31,000 to Singapore. We were told that the costs of the ICU in the Singapore hospital is $10,000 a day. He is not healthy enough to fly back to the states in his current condition. The medical air ambulance back to the states would be over $90,000. We are going through his travel insurance to see what is covered along with the limits of coverage. He has pneumonia and is on a ventilator to breathe. We have spent tens of thousands already and realize his long term care will be costly. Anything we receive will be used to cover the medical and travel expenses for Rodney. If you are not able to help financially please keep us in your Prayers.
