My name is Trinity Martin, and I'm Bobbi and Rodney Martin's youngest child. On Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 my father suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in his Basal Ganglia while at work. Luckily, he recognized the urgency of the situation and had a coworker take him to the hospital ASAP. By the time he reached the Emergency room he could no longer walk or feel his right side, and had high blood pressure that needed to be controlled to stop the bleeding. Due to this, he was admitted to the ICU for 3 days, and is still hospitalized in the Neuro Trauma Unit of the hospital. My father is one of the strongest people I know, but a stroke is difficult for anyone to deal with. Once he gets released from the hospital, he will be admitted to a Rehabilitation Hospital for intensive therapy to hopefully regain as much function and feeling as possible. At 57 he is quite young to have this type of stroke, so we are hopeful that he will recover well and he already has been making progress in PT and OT. This fundraiser is to help with the medical bills of his ICU, hospital, and rehabilitation stay, along with helping our family while he is unable to work.
