Support Rodney Ivory's Peaceful Farewell

My name is Rakim, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times in my life. On July 25, 2025, my father, Rodney Ivory, passed away unexpectedly. Our family is heartbroken, and we are doing everything we can to give him the peaceful farewell he deserves.

Rodney was a hardworking man with over 40 years in the moving industry. He was the kind of man who woke up early every morning, whether he had work or not. He raised seven children from different homes, and though that came with its challenges, he loved all of us deeply and always made sure we knew each other — and that we had family.

He had a true love for soulful music, old Westerns, going to church, and being on the road. Whether he was behind the wheel of his truck or just out moving around, the road gave him peace — it was his comfort zone.

In his later years, his heart was set on bringing his children together — not just so we knew each other, but so we knew we had each other. And just as importantly, so he could feel that we weren’t alone — that we had family too. That meant everything to him. He may not have always had the words for it, but his actions spoke loud: family mattered to him.

We’re asking for $5,000 to help cover the cost of the burial plot and expenses so we can lay him to rest beside his mother — a place he would have loved to be buried. These funds will also help support my mother — his wife — who is now trying to survive without him, both emotionally and financially. She’s facing a new chapter of life without the man she stood beside for so many years.
