My friend, Rodney Ford has a condition called PKD- Polycystic Kidney Disease. It affects about 600,000 people in the United States and is the 4th leading cause of kidney failure. Rodney’s kidneys are to the point where he is in need of a kidney transplant. Typically, there is a 5-year waiting period to receive a cadaver kidney, but Rodney has been blessed to find a living donor. Rodney and his donor are scheduled for transplant surgery on January 31, 3025.

This is a costly surgery and will require multiple trips to the transplant center at the University of Virginia for pre-op, transplant surgery, and follow ups.
