Many of you will have bought beautiful flowers and vegetables from Roderick Pagnossin each year on Shipyard lane in Blaine.Sadly he was diagnosed with throat cancer last year as well as losing his job after 20 years due to new management (so now has no income) and losing his rental apartment due to new landlords.

On diagnosis he had to have 5 days a week radiation of the osephogus and tongue and mouth after having to have all teeth extracted incase of infection. This lasted for 7 weeks and during this time he also had 7 weeks of chemotherapy.

He is now in recovery as the body tries to replace the dead cancer cellscaused by both the radiation and chemo but has to feed through a stomach tube and only liquid protein as his throat muscles do not function still after being scorched. He is still unable to look for work as his immune system is still recouperating and he is still very weak having lost over 60 pounds.

Any money donated will pay bills and rental of land space from a farmer where he lives in a small trailer, plus transport to and from hospital for the numerous follow up appiontments.
