For 34 years, Rod Warford has been a dedicated public servant to the City of Wymore, always showing up with a helping hand, a generous heart, and an unwavering commitment to his community. Whether it was through his work, his friendships, or his faith as a member of the Wymore Church of Christ, Rod has spent his life giving to others. Now, he and his wife, Michele, need our support.
Rod was recently diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer, metastisized to areas on bones including femur, pelvis, ribs; recently discovered were suspicious spots in the brain. Despite the challenges ahead, Rod is committed to fighting this battle with the same strength and determination that have defined his life.
Rod retired on January 31st, looking forward to a well-earned new chapter. Instead, he now faces the toughest fight of his life. His medical journey will be long, with treatments, travel, and expenses that quickly add up. No one should have to fight alone—especially not someone who has given so much to his family, friends, and community.
We are asking for your support to help Rod and Michele navigate this difficult road. Every donation, big or small, will go toward medical bills, travel costs, and ensuring Rod can focus on what matters most—his health, healing and his family.
If Rod has ever helped you, made you laugh, or been there when you needed a friend, now is the time to return that kindness. Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser so we can rally around Rod in his time of need.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and support. Let’s help Rod fight this with everything he’s got!
