Our family cat, Rocky, recently went through a frightening medical emergency, and we’re asking for help to cover the unexpected veterinary costs.
Rocky is a 9-year-old cat who has always been healthy and has been a loved part of our family for years. A few days ago, he suddenly started peeing outside of the litter box, which was very unusual for him. Because of the sudden change in behavior, we took him to the vet right away. They suspected a urinary tract infection and sent us home with medication.
The next day, things got much worse. Rocky spent too much time going from litter box to litter box trying to urinate, but couldn’t. We called our vet again and were told to take him to an emergency veterinary hospital. It turned out that Rocky had a complete urinary blockage, which is life-threatening for cats.
Rocky has to stay at the emergency vet for about a day and a half so they can unblock him and stabilize him. Thankfully, he is recovering, but the emergency treatment has come with a very large and unexpected cost for our family.
My parents handle our household finances, and I’m hoping to raise funds to help them cover the vet and emergency vet bills for Rocky’s care. Rocky means the world to us, and we did everything we could to help him when he needed it most.
Any support, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page, would mean so much to our family and help ensure Rocky can continue recovering and reduce the stress for my family.
Thank you for taking the time to read Rocky’s story and for any help you can give.
