Hi everyone,

My name is Arzu, and I’ve been caring for a sweet dog named Rocky for the past few months as his dog walker. His owner, Burnacquetta Pickens, had been in and out of the hospital constantly since I’ve known her, and heartbreakingly, she recently passed away from cancer. During her recent hospital stays, I stepped in to be the main care taker of Rocky, and Burnacquetta also connected me with another wonderful person, Sarah, who began helping as well. Together, we’ve been making sure Rocky isn’t left alone in the house and gets the walks and attention he needs—especially during what has been a very emotional and stressful time.

We’ve both been doing this purely out of love, without pay, wanting only to make sure Rocky feels safe and cared for as he adjusts to the loss of his person. We’re doing our absolute best, but Rocky now needs more consistent support—food, treats, basic supplies, and help for whoever will be taking care of him moving forward so he doesn't get taken away by the wrong people and euthanized.

This fundraiser will ensure Rocky has everything he needs in the coming weeks and months while we work toward giving him a stable, loving future. Every dollar will go directly toward his care: keeping him fed, comfortable, and making sure he’s not alone during this difficult transition.
