We're raising money to help Raquel "Rocky" recover from the financial strain of hospitalization for her sweet baby Tarzan.
Tarzan’s journey began early at 33 weeks gestational age. He and Rocky were flown out during a lightning storm to Pomona Valley Hospital where they have NICU facilities and a trained staff to handle care for such little ones. His welcome to the world began with a fight to breathe. He was born 5 lbs. 3 oz., which is pretty big for a preemie, but his lungs needed more time to catch up. In the NICU, he was taken care of by well-trained staff, and his parents got to visit every day. Tarzan gained weight every week and made leaps towards being self-sufficient. First, the PICC lines came off, then oxygen support, and finally, right before release, the feeding tube was removed.
Tarzan was finally able to go home with his family on Thanksgiving Day. We are so thrilled to finally be home in Bishop! The expense of living in a hotel and out-of-pocket expenses have been extensive, and they need a little help getting back on track with the time off they had hope to have together. Any help would be greatly appreciated via money or meal train https://mealtrain.com/78gwo2
