María "Rocío" Guallpa fue una de esas personas especiales que solo se conocen una vez en la vida. Era una persona hermosa y maravillosa. Era una hija, hermana, madre, comadre, amiga, y mucho mas. Realmente no merecía el tiempo tan limitado que le toco.

Mi hermana luchó contra el cáncer de apéndice en etapa IV durante 15 meses antes de que esta terrible enfermedad se la llevara el 23 de octubre. Se sometió a varios tratamientos de quimioterapia que le quitaron todas sus fuerzas, en una joven edad de 43 años. No solo le diagnosticaron uno de los cánceres más agresivos y raros, sino que se encontraba en fase terminal.

Siempre decía: "Me siento bien, tengo fe y viviré". Lo creyó de verdad hasta el final. Siempre tuvo fe. Nunca dejó que nadie supiera de su dolor, por muy duro que fuera. Nunca se quejó.

Rocío siempre pensaba en los demás, no había nadie a quien no estuviera dispuesta a ayudar, sin importarle su situación. Era la madre de todos. Una de ocho hermanos, cuidó a cada uno de nosotros. Era hija y mejor amiga de su madre. Fue una de las mejores madres para su hijo Jack, de 21 años. Protegía y cuidaba de todos. Toco a muchos corazones, y no creo que sabe lo especial que era.

Mi familia y yo la extrañaremos muchísimo. Ahora está en paz, pero nos dejó con un hueco en el corazón.

Pedemos a todos que puedan, sin obligación que nos ayuden colectar fundos para que podamos brindarle a Rocío el hermoso servicio que se merece: uno que honre su luz, su alegría y el amor que compartió con tanta generosidad. Maria "Rocio" Guallpa was one of those special people you really only meet once in a lifetime. She was a beautiful and wonderful soul. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother. She truly did not deserve the limited time she had.

My sister fought Stage IV Appendiceal Cancer for 15 months before the awful disease took her on October 23rd. She underwent various chemo treatments that took all the strength she had, even at the young age of 43. Not only was she diagnosed with one of the most aggressive and rarest cancers, but it was at a terminal stage.

But no matter what, she always said "I'm feeling good, I have faith, and I will live." She truly believed this until the end. She always had faith. She never let anyone know her pain, no matter how hard it got. She never complained.

Rocio was selfless, there was not one person she was not willingly to help no matter her situation. She was everyone's mom. One of eight, she took care of each and every single one of us. She was a daughter and bestfriend to her mom. She was one of the best mother's to her 21 year old son Jack. She protected and looked after everyone and anyone.

My family and I will miss her so much. She is at peace now, but she has left us all with a hole in our hearts.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, so that we can give Rocio the beautiful service she deserves — one that honors her light, her joy, and the love she shared so freely. Any additional funds, will go to her only son Jack who she loved with all her heart.
