Hi, my name is Tara and I am raising funds again for my lifelong friend Rochelle Fahleen. That's Rochelle in the white shirt with her daughter Stefanie, and Stef's family. They're doing what I think all of us would like to be doing if we knew we were dying, spending time with each other and making memories that will outlive us.

Here’s the good news. She’s been fighting this for almost 3 years. She is a total baddie! Taking the chemo, living with the pain and fatigue, the emotional roller coaster of scanxiety, and the reality of it all. Why does she do it? Because like the rest of us, she wants all the time she can get with her grandkids, her family, and her friends. Maybe she’s waiting for the damn Vikings to win a Super Bowl! SKOL

Here’s the bad news, as if living with stage 4 cancer isn’t enough. She’s not able to pay for everything. When Rochelle became a person living with stage 4 cancer, she had to stop working and take her social security early. The travel to and from Minneapolis , the number of appointments, the co-pays, and the high cost of pretty much everything, have made it impossible for her to continue to meet her basic needs. She is short $400-$500 every month.

If you know Rochelle personally, you know she is nothing if not prideful. This fundraiser was a big ask for her to say yes.

My hope is that Rochelle can enjoy the time she has left without having to worry about money. She can focus on her health, her relationships with her family and friends, and knowing that people gave to her because they want her to not just live, but LIVE her best life with the time she has left.
