Rochelle Miller is my friend and coworker of seven years, and she has been a dedicated member of the UPS team for fourteen years. Rochelle is a kind soul—always willing to help others succeed, patient and caring to her coworkers, and ready to work hard despite any pain she may be experiencing. Her generosity and spirit have touched so many lives, and now she needs our help.
Recently, Rochelle was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, a malignant neoplasm of the upper left lung. The cancer has spread to her bones, causing lytic lesions that have completely eaten away one and a half vertebras in her spine. This has left her at serious risk—if she falls or suffers any injury to her back, she could be paralyzed. To protect her spine, Rochelle will soon undergo surgery to have rods placed for support and stability. The recovery will be long, and she will be out of work for three to six months as she heals.
During this time, Rochelle will need help covering her cost of living, including food, housing, medical bills, and other essential needs. Any support you can offer is greatly appreciated and will be a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. Please join us in rallying around Rochelle as she faces this difficult journey. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in her life.
