Rob and his wife Kristy are facing an unimaginable challenge. While on a business trip to Wisconsin, Rob was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered he had suffered a large, spontaneous brain bleed. He was immediately transferred to a Level 1 Trauma hospital and admitted to the Neuro-ICU. Rob remains in critical condition, but the family is grateful that he is stabilizing. As doctors carefully reduce his sedation, everyone is praying that he will become more alert. To relieve the pressure and excess fluid on his brain, Rob’s neurosurgeon placed an external ventricular drain, giving his brain room to heal. Kristy, Tucker, and Tom (Rob’s dad) drove to Wisconsin right away to be by his side, and the family will stay until Rob is stable enough to return home to South Carolina, where his full support system awaits.
The journey ahead is uncertain, and the costs are overwhelming. Insurance will likely deny coverage for the medevac or medflight needed to bring Rob home, and the distance makes ground transport impossible. Donations will help cover the cost of medevac transport, medical expenses, continuing health insurance, and out-of-state attorney fees. Every contribution will directly support Rob and Kristy as they navigate this crisis, allowing them to focus on Rob’s healing and the hope of bringing him home.
Our family remains deeply grateful for the prayers, love, and support that have surrounded Rob. We all love him dearly and appreciate any prayers, donations, and shares on his behalf. Updates will be posted as Kristy is able. Thank you for holding Rob and the family in your hearts during this difficult time.
