Hi. My name is Jenne Barton. I am fundraising for Team 399 Eagle Robotics from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, California. Team 399 did an amazing thing this last weekend, they were awarded the most prestIgious award in the FIRST Robotics community. This honor gave them the chance to compete at the World Championships in Houston, Texas. My daughter, Jamisen Barton, has been a part of this team and their amazing efforts for the last 4 years. Not only would we love for Jamisen to attend the World Championships, we really want to make sure all team members involved can also attend.

We are reaching out to you all in hopes of gaining financial support to donate to the team, not only to get them to Houston, but to also sustain their program. Team 399 has proven themselves to be a group of hardworking and dedicated students in all that they do. These past few years have been extremely difficult for the team, with students missing two years of in-person activities. Even with these obstacles, they definitely were able to pick themselves up and soar once more.

At their local regional here in the Antelope “Aerospace” Valley, after being away for 2 years, the team made history. Our team was the first pick of the 6th seeded alliance, this was their first time in this position since 2018!!! Continuing, the team won the most prestigious award in FIRST for the 5th consecutive year, the Chairman’s Award. This award recognizes a team’s contribution to their community and transforming STEAM and STEM culture over a sustained period of time. And to make all of this even more amazing, one of the team’s students was awarded the Dean’s List Finalist Award, which hasn’t happened for this team in 10 years! This was a huge honor for the team and I am so proud of every one of them.

To help Team 399 to sustain and continue their work and legacy, we are asking for $10,000 to help offset team costs for their season, as well as assisting them in going to Champs in Houston next week.
