In January, my life changed unexpectedly when I suffered a brain aneurysm and a ruptured clot. I was airlifted to Jefferson Hospital in Center City for emergency surgery, where doctors placed a shunt in my head and thankfully saved my life. Since then, I’ve faced a long road to recovery, including multiple surgeries and ongoing therapy. I’m currently working hard to regain strength and function in my left hand, which I lost after my most recent surgery. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions fill my weeks as I focus on healing and rebuilding my independence.
While I wait for my social security benefits to begin, I’m struggling to keep up with essential living expenses. Rent, phone bills, car and renters insurance, and copays for medications are all piling up. The financial stress is overwhelming, especially as I work through the challenges of recovery. My family, coworkers, and friends have been incredibly supportive, offering prayers and positivity when I’ve felt scared or uncertain. Their encouragement has meant the world to me, but I still need help to get through this difficult period.
I’m asking for support to help cover my basic needs while I continue my recovery. Every contribution will go directly toward keeping a roof over my head, maintaining access to my medications, and ensuring I can get to my therapy appointments. Your kindness will make a real difference as I work toward regaining my health and independence.
I want to thank each and everyone who has donated and even if you can't just sharing helps a ton too! THANK YOU SO MUCH
