About Robin, aka Ruben

Robin has spent her life putting others first. She raised three children of her own, helped raise my wife’s two children before we married, and later helped raise her son’s children to adulthood after their mother passed. She’s the steady, generous presence our family turns to in good times and bad — and now she needs our help.

Robin was recently diagnosed with a rare, advanced (stage IV) cancer. She is staying positive and receiving treatment, but this cancer is aggressive and could spread. Doctors are doing everything possible, but the short-term prognosis is uncertain, and survival beyond a year is not guaranteed.

Why we’re raising funds

Because of her illness, Robin had to stop working after 15 years of employment. Without a steady income, she’s facing immediate financial strain. Funds raised will help cover:

- Medical expenses and treatments not covered by insurance

- Prescription medications and related care supplies

- Rent, utilities, car payments, and insurance premiums

- Daily living expenses while she waits for Social Security and other benefits

- Travel and lodging for treatments, if needed

How the funds will be used

All donations will go directly toward Robin’s medical bills and day-to-day needs. We will keep donors updated on how funds are being used and on Robin’s condition through regular GoFundMe updates.
