Robin's Message:
Hello everyone, Thank you for taking a moment to stop by and check in. Our family has entered a chapter we never expected, and your support means more than we can express. As many of you know, I’ve recently begun treatment for lung cancer. The days are a mix of courage, exhaustion, determination, and—thanks to all of you—moments of deep gratitude.
Right now, our focus is on taking things step by step. Treatments are underway, and while they bring their challenges, they also bring hope. Some days are harder than others, but we’re learning to celebrate the small victories: a good night’s sleep, a meal enjoyed together, a quiet moment of laughter. Another big change is happening at the same time. We’re preparing to move back from New Zealand so we can be closer to family and have more support during treatment. This transition brings its own challenges. I had to leave my job there, and I won’t have work lined up when we return, so our family will be without income for a while. It’s a stressful reality, but we’re doing our best to stay focused on health, stability, and getting settled.
Your messages, encouragement, and simple check-ins truly lift our spirits. For those who have asked about practical support, we’re working on organizing meals, rides, and a few other needs as they come up. Just knowing we’re not walking this road alone brings comfort. We’ll continue to share updates here as we move forward. Thank you for surrounding us with kindness, patience, and steady support. It gives us strength on the days we need it most.
With gratitude,
Robin Baker and Family
