As friends of 6 year-old Robina, a beloved 2nd grader in our PS3 Community, we humbly come to you to help her navigate critical health challenges.
On September 11th, Robina suddenly fell sick and has been hospitalized and unable to return to school since then. She has been diagnosed with a serious brain injury. Many tests have been conducted but unfortunately all of them were negative and couldn’t help explain the cause of the injury. Although Robina’s doctors and specialists have not yet determined a specific cause, they are working relentlessly to control the symptoms associated with this terrible injury. Meanwhile, Robina’s condition is alarming. Her immune system is drastically worsening while in the Intensive Care Unit. She is in constant pain. She has lost the ability to move, speak, and eat, combined with respiratory and heart rate issues.
While Robina is facing this injury in her brain, her mother has been diagnosed with an end-stage kidney disease and is struggling to receive dialysis treatments three times a week and to obtain necessary medications. She is desperately seeking help for a potential kidney transplant which would create substantial medical expenses.
Although this has taken an emotional and physical toll on the family, they are courageously hanging in there next to their child’s sickbed. Now is a critical time to support them. We created this fundraiser to help provide them with immediate and essential financial support. Some of the immediate needs include but are not limited to: food; warm clothing for the winter ahead; transportation costs for traveling to and from the hospital; assistance with loss of income; housing costs; contribution to medical bills and ongoing treatment; and support for Robina's sister, whose life has been upended and who is trying to stay strong for Robina.
We invite you to please join us in providing assistance and support to Robina and her family. All funds raised go directly to the family. The organizers of this campaign maintain the web page and have no custody of the donations. Anything you can do to help, whether it's donating or simply sharing this link, would be greatly appreciated.
Together, we can show Robina and her family that they are not alone and that we are committed to helping them overcome these urgent challenges.
We thank you for your generosity with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit.
