Hi, my name is Robert, and I work in entertainment, both on the stage as a singer, dancer, actor, and puppeteer, as well as behind the scenes in an administrative capacity. My hands are essential to my work, and ongoing medical issues now require surgery to restore function and prevent further damage. Essentially, I have benign tumors on my knuckles and they cause me great pain. 

First surgery will be February 2nd for my left hand. Second surgery, for my right hand, will follow at a later date. These procedures are medically necessary, but even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for surgery, recovery, and possible time away from work are significant. I’m fundraising to help cover medical bills and related expenses so I can focus on healing and returning to work.

How the funds will be used:

• Surgical and hospital costs not fully covered by insurance ($350 total)

• Pre- and post-operative care, including follow-up visits and rehabilitation (approx. $150)

• Medications, braces, and medical supplies needed during recovery

• Lost income during recovery, as I may not be able to perform or work with my hands for a little while
