My name is Diane Schwartz, and I am the oldest sister of Robert Schwartz from Chesterfield, VA. We created this GoFundMe to help support Robert during an incredibly difficult time. He is not the type of person who requests help, but right now, he truly needs it.
In mid-June, Robert became unemployed and has been unable to find a job. While he managed to scrape by working odd jobs, he suffered a health emergency in October that caused heart failure and kidney damage. Since then, he has been unable to work at all and has no income. This past week, he had a kidney biopsy, and just one day after being discharged, he experienced excruciating pain and had to be rushed by ambulance back to the hospital. He underwent emergency surgery to close a large area of bleeding outside his kidney, a rare complication from his biopsy. He was released from the hospital on Christmas Day but still has a long road to recovery ahead. On top of the kidney problem, he recently learned that he has a bladder condition. A procedure was planned to find out more, but due to the complications with his kidneys, it will have to be rescheduled for January.
Robert really needs your help to cover his basic living expenses while he recovers and seeks further medical care. Your support will help him make rent, pay for electricity, and keep up with fuel costs. Please consider giving what you can—every bit helps. We would also appreciate your prayers and positive thoughts. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and continued support.
