Hello there, my name is Robert Hines and I'm currently in the hospital.

I had major surgery on my leg for the second time within a year and was living with my significant other, but we have parted ways, so I am currently homeless. As you can see, my situation is not very good. With this surgery, I'm hoping to be able to walk again and have some quality of life because for the last 2 years, I've been in chronic pain and unable to really get around. I've had to ride the scooters in the stores when I go or have a wheelchair in many instances, so you can see that I'm really in dire straits at this time in my life.

I'm 61 years of age, and being disabled isn't helping my situation as far as being homeless. I'm still waiting for the Social Security Administration to kick in so I'll be paid on a monthly basis, but they are very slow in their process of approving me.

I'm at the point where I can't work anymore because I have COPD, rheumatoid arthritis, and PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease), which is why I'm in the hospital right now. So as you see, my life at this moment is pretty much just existing. I'm not living life like I should be able to at my age. I've missed my kids' and grandbabies' birthdays and other family events, and just not being able to get around with my ailments has really put a damper on everyday life. Walking around in stores, sitting too long, or standing too long has just made my life really uncomfortable.

But I'm not gonna make a pity party of it. I'm really in need of some help to get me off the streets and help out with some of these doctor bills that my insurance didn't cover. I'm not one to ask for help, but at this point, I really don't have a choice. So as you can see, I'm really in need of some help so I'm not out there in the elements, which will be worse for my health and my mindset.
