HELP US GET THROUGH THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME!

My name is Robert. My wife Janay and I are working class people whose survival means working hard and keeping a close eye on expenses like most people these days. I am 72 years old and self employed as a handyman and light remodeling contractor and the main provider for the family.

On September 4th our lives changed dramatically! I got seriously hurt. I fell from a ladder 5 or 6 feet and landed on the hard ground, right on my hip. It hurt like crazy and I knew something was wrong. I couldn’t get up on my own. Two ambulance rides and two x-rays/cat scans later I was in the trauma hospital ready to have surgery. My pelvis was fractured in 3 places and on September 5th I had surgery. Three screws were put in to secure my pelvis and I spent the next week in the hospital. I am recovering at home and after a follow up appointment with my surgeon and was given the order to start physical therapy.

On October 2nd I started physical therapy and am scheduled to be going there well into November. I have been out of work for 6 weeks to this point and we are expecting that I will be unable to do my work for an additional 4-6 weeks, as much of my work involves small ladders and/or lifting and handling 40-60lb. items.

We need help with some of the medical expenses not covered by insurance and meeting our monthly expenses and payments for October, November and December until I can get back into consistent production.
