Support Roberto's Journey to Walk Again

Hola, mi nombre es Roberto Carlos Rivera, tengo 36 años, veterano de los US Marines corps. Agradezco mucho que saquen un momento para leer mi historia. Estuve involucrado en un accidente de motora yendo de regreso a casa, lamentablemente un cerdo salvaje se me cruzó en el carril y al intentar evadirlo perdí el control totalmente. Fui llevado al hospital en helicóptero, donde he sido intervenido quirúrgicamente en 3 ocasiones, y aun quedas más intervenciones quirúrgicas. Ya que me fracturé ambas piernas a nivel de rodillas, tibia, y tobillos. El tiempo de recuperación es entre 3-8 meses o un poco más, en los que no podré trabajar, y debo estar en una cama y eventualmente comenzar terapia física para volver a ponerme de pie y caminar.

Todo el dinero recaudado será utilizado para gastos médicos, como hospitalización, rehabilitación/terapias, medicamentos, equipo médico, cuidados de salud y demás gastos. Cualquier cantidad donada de su parte será de gran ayuda para mi y mi familia, ya que soy el principal proveedor del hogar. Gracias a mi novia, hermana y mamá que están bajo mi cuidado directo en el hospital, necesitamos ayuda de amigos y familiares para poder sufragar todos los gastos médicos adicionales que no puedan ser cubiertos por el plan médico y beneficios de veterano.

Hello, my name is Roberto Carlos Rivera, I am 36 years old, a veteran of the US Marine Corps. I really appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. I was involved in a motorcycle accident on my way back home, unfortunately a wild pig crossed my lane and while trying to avoid it I totally lost control. I was taken to the hospital by helicopter, where I have undergone 3 surgeries, and there are still more surgeries to come. I fractured both legs at the knees, tibia and ankles. The recovery time is between 3-8 months or a little more, in which I will not be able to work, and I must be in bed and eventually start physical therapy to get back on my feet and walk.

All money raised will be used for medical expenses, such as hospitalization, rehabilitation/therapies, medications, medical equipment, health care and other expenses. Any amount donated from you will be of great help to me and my family, as I am the main provider for the household. Thanks to my girlfriend, sister and mom who are under my direct care at the hospital, we need help from friends and family in order to defray all additional medical expenses that cannot be covered by the medical plan and veteran's benefits.
