Roberta Cortez has been a dedicated paraprofessional at Redwood Elementary School for 13 years. She is known by staff and students alike for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. Roberta has touched countless lives as both a teacher and a friend, always going above and beyond to help those around her.

Recently, Roberta has been faced with a medical situation that requires surgery. She does not currently have health insurance, which makes the financial burden even greater. The hospital surgery would be much more expensive, but she is choosing to have it done in the doctor's office to help reduce expenses. Even with this lower-cost option, the financial burden is more than she can manage alone, especially with additional unknown pathology costs. We are organizing this fundraiser to help ease her financial burden so she can focus on healing and getting back to the students and community she loves.
