Robert Young Jr was a brother, a father, and a friend to many. He had a big heart and always found ways to help others, even when he had little to give. Whether it was his time, his laughter, or his kindness, Robert made sure those around him felt loved and included. His tall, lanky frame and big feet were matched only by his goofy personality, which brought smiles and comfort to everyone he met. He was a brother to my sister, my younger brother, and myself, but most importantly, he was a devoted father to his 5-year-old daughter, whom he adored above all else. Robert wasn’t perfect, but he was always striving to be better, working towards his goals and embracing every opportunity to grow.

Recently, Robert suffered a cardiac arrest and is now on life support due to severe brain swelling. The doctors have told us there is no chance of recovery. As an organ donor, Robert’s final wish is to help others even in his passing. On Wednesday, January 7th, at 6pm, Peconic Bay Hospital will hold an honor walk for Robert, where family and friends can say their last goodbyes before he gives the gift of life to others through organ donation.

We are raising funds to cover Robert’s funeral expenses and to support his young daughter, who will be facing life without her father.
