My dad, Robert Walsh, has been battling Parkinson’s for six years, and this past year has been the hardest. His health has declined rapidly, leading to five hospitalizations, including Thanksgiving, which we spent by his side instead of at home together as a family.

The emotional and financial toll has been devastating. My dad hasn’t been able to work for 2-3 years, and the medical bills are now beyond what we can manage. He’s being moved to a rehab facility soon, but we’re unsure how long he’ll need to stay or what insurance will cover.

Creating this GoFundMe is something I know my family wouldn’t ask for themselves because they don’t want to burden anyone. But the truth is, we need help—and I believe in the kindness of others.
