Support Robert Stover Jr's Vital Surgery

Hello everyone, my name is Bobette Tobacco-Stead and I am from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. I am Oglala Lakota Sioux and our family is from the Crazy Thunder, Tobacco, Big Crow Tiospaye. I have created this for my son Robert Stover Jr (his Lakota name is Sugmanitu Ho Waste'). Robert is born and raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, one of the poorest reservations in America and the 2nd poorest county in the country. Where jobs are scarce, the unemployment rate is high and the life span of a male is 37 years old. We are already born with many disadvantages. But Robert has always dreamt of becoming more and being a role model for others and has left the reservation, chasing his dreams. First he enlisted in the Army, where he was honorably discharged for medical reasons. Then he began chasing his dream all alone in Los Angeles, California. He has been a bodyguard for the last 6 years with many opportunities to work with programs such as America's Got Talent and The Voice.

But Robert recently has come upon some health complications that will affect his ability to work, or be employed and support his family. Robert has been scheduled for an emergent surgery on September 13, 2024, in Los Angeles, California. The surgery is very vital to his health and longevity, it is called UPJ Obstruction which without the surgery or prolonging it can affect his kidney function. He has a family to support and has been struggling to make ends meet already as it is. As we all are very familiar to as times have been tough for all of us. With his scheduled surgery coming up he will be out for 4-6 weeks and the bills will still need to be paid.
