Support Robert Slack's Heart Recovery Journey

Hello, my name is Rebekah the daughter of Robert Slack. I am starting this go fund me because I love my Dad. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure 3 years ago. They found 3 things wrong with his heart that needed to get fixed, which put him in Morristown Hospital this past October 2023. He had to have major heart surgery and we all were worried because the surgery was not getting done on a healthy heart. It was getting done on his congestive heart failure heart. They sewed him up and he was about to be in recovery, but then all of the sudden he goes into cardiac arrest. He then was put on life-support for 15 days after and we didn’t even know if he was going to make it. He was hospitalized for a month after and then put in rehabilitation center for a month after. It’s been six months since hes been home and my father is still not himself. They say when you’re on life-support it does something to your brain and it takes a while for your brain to come back to how it once was. He went in and got checked late June finding out that he has “Pump Brain and leaking in other parts of his heart” . He is not able to survive another surgery so we are not sure how long my Dad has. Since my dad has been out, my parents have been struggling just to pay their monthly bills. My Dad is going to be getting tests done on his brain, since we believe there is something wrong.
