Support Robert Schroeder's Vision Needs
Donation protected
Hello my name is Mike LaPorta and I work with a guy named Robert Schroeder. Robert has always been like a father figure to me and well over the years Robert's eyesight has deteriorated to a point where now he is close to being legally blind. I am sure being visually impaired is not easy and in addition the cost to purchase the items, resources and even people to setup your items that you use daily can be costly.
Robert is such a nice guy, a hard worker and very proud, which makes it hard to accept things that you need from others even though he may not be able to afford it. Life in this world is hard enough, as we all I am sure can attest to it, just by seeing what is going on in the world today, which is unfortunately so full of hate.
Without love and concern for our fellow human beings, those that are in need would be lost and have a hard time surviving in this hostile and unforgiving world we live in. There are so many levels of love and one of them is just simply a concern over the welfare of another individual and wanting to do what we can to help others in need.
This is not a religious based appeal for help, but I LOVE God/Jesus Christ with ALL my Heart & Soul and I am a Christian to the very core and I was taught to love others and to help others with your eyes CLOSED and what that means is, in helping others you don't size them up, you don't assess them, evaluate them or judge them with any set of criteria at all, you see with and through your heart, not your eyes and help everyone that you can.
In closing I would ask that you look inside your heart and first try to empathize what it would be like to live with a visual disability (I myself think of not being able to see the beautiful colors of flowers, or the colors of a rainbow or the faces of my children, my wife and relatives) and I know it would be heart breaking. I ask that you give only what you are able to and if not able to give a monetary gift, if you have knowledge of visual impairment any suggestions for helpful resources and even prayers are more than welcome also.
Thank you all in advance,
Mike LaPorta (Robert's friend)
