My dear friend, Robert Miller, a vibrant 37-year-old husband and father of three, has recently been diagnosed with a rare brain cancer called Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG). This is a very aggressive and rapidly growing brain tumor near his brain stem.

During a visit to the ER on October 31, 2024, a CT scan revealed a mass in his brain, prompting emergency surgery to perform a brain biopsy to determine the nature of the mass. On November 11, 2024, the same day as the couple's wedding anniversary, Robert and Alyssa received devastating news that forever changed their lives. As the name suggests, the tumor cells tend to spread out and invade neighboring tissues. Often, diffuse midline gliomas will have grown throughout the brainstem. Due to this, it is inoperable as it poses other major health risks. Words cannot describe the emotions of this revelation.

Robert has begun an intensive treatment regimen that includes radiation and chemotherapy in hopes of shrinking the tumor. This is the beginning of a long journey, and they truly need your support as the road ahead will be unpredictable with many twists and turns.
