Support Robert Lincoln's Fight Against Stage IV Cancer

My name is Robert Lincoln, and I’m asking for your support during the hardest time of my life!
I’ve spent my life serving others. I joined the Army and served honorably until an injury led to my medical discharge. Determined to keep helping others, I attended the police academy and became a crime prevention officer in Kansas. Over 11 years, I started 43 crime prevention programs and earned 21 decorations. I loved serving my community and would have continued, but a back injury unrelated to work forced me to leave the career I loved after two surgeries left me with tight restrictions.
i only had my small social security disability income of just over $800 a month for my family to survive on. My wife, which was a stay at home mom, stepped up and worked tirelessly to support our five kids and me. Through her incredible determination and faith, she found work, rose to a corporate position, and worked 60 to 80 hours a week for 18 years. She supported us until her own health challenges forced her to retire. While she prepared for surgery to address her medical problems, I applied for VA disability benefits and was approved in 2015. Finally, I was able to support my family and take care of my wife.
Now, six years later, we’re facing devastating news. It started with pain in my right side, which led to gallbladder removal surgery. Complications during that surgery led to a lacerated liver and a cut artery, requiring emergency surgery to save my life. During that surgery, a mass was discovered on my liver, but we weren’t told about it at this time. While recovering from the two surgeries, I began having severe difficulty breathing. A lung specialist was called in and he ordered a bronchoscopy to wash out my lungs and get biopsies.
A few weeks later, further testing revealed the worst: small cell carcinoma, an aggressive form of lung cancer. On Christmas Eve, we learned the cancer is everywhere. It’s in my lungs, liver, colon, ribs, hips, spinal cord, lymph nodes and blood! It is stage 4 small cell carcinoma and without a miracle, is terminal. My doctors have told me no treatment will save me, but it might buy me a little more time with my family. I started my chemotherapy Jan. 13th, 14th and 15th.
I am overwhelmed with worry/stress about leaving my family behind. I’m the sole provider now for my wife and our youngest son, who is still living at home and still in school. My wife lost her father a few years ago. She lost her mother 4 months ago. Now the news of my cancer! We have been together for 29 years. Without my income, they risk losing everything. Our home, our vehicle, and the stability they need to move forward.
I’m humbly asking for your help to cover medical costs not covered by the VA, rent, car payments, and funeral expenses. Your generosity will help ensure my family has time to grieve and find their way without the added burden of immediate financial stress.
We also ask for your prayers that God grants me more time with my family. Any support—whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or keeping us in your prayers—means the world to us. No support is too small!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
