These baseless charges tore him away from his elderly mother, Emily, denying them contact for over five years. During this forced separation, Emily’s mental health declined significantly, adding to the heartbreak and hardship that Robert endured. Today, Robert continues to fight for the right to see his mother freely and to clear his name.

In 2021, a jury saw the truth and fully acquitted Robert of all charges, affirming his innocence.

But the struggle didn’t end there. The ongoing legal battles have drained Robert’s finances and taken a tremendous emotional toll. He is now pursuing a federal civil rights lawsuit to hold those responsible for the injustices accountable and to restore his reputation.
