Update : my dad currently is in presby because we got the call for his lungs they have him prepped and we r just waiting . He has a lot of expenses for traveling back and forth to the hospital after he would get released 5 days a week for 6-8 weeks plus medication cost and other cost we r asking for any donation that would help in this situation . We r very grateful for everyone that has already donated to him already . I just don’t want my dad to have any financial burdens during this time as he has endured so much these past couple years thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers for him also

my name is Tiffany Hubert and I’m doing this go fund me for my father Robert Hubert . I felt like the first explanation of his condition wasn’t explaining enough so I felt it would be best to edit it . My dad has 5 children and 6 beautiful grandchildren . He was diagnosed with end stage c.o.p.d.(emphysema). 3 years ago and has been living a terrible life (more of just an existence) ever since . He is to the point that he must have supplemental oxygen 24/7. His quality of life has diminished to the point that is very difficult to do much of anything that brings him happiness into his life . He struggles so much to even breathe when he walks . He is a very proud man and independent man, so he doesn’t want to be a burden on anyone . But I see his attitude is changing and he is starting to realize that he does need help and there are people that want to help without reservation and is so humbled with the thought of this he gets overwhelmed with emotion and he has a difficult time with it . His doctors have done all they can , looked at all options available and is down to the only one left and that is a double lung transplant . Both his pcp and pulmonologist both agree he would be a good candidate because otherwise he is healthy . Although his insurance will pay for the $1.3 million plus operation there are out of pocket expenses such as deductibles , and large co pays for the many follow up doctor visits afterwards and multiple meds that will be taken for the rest of his life. He is not ready to leave this world yet and would love to be able to take his grand babies to the park and play again and do some of the things he enjoyed doing not so long ago ! If you can find it in your heart and have the ability please donate what you can , no matter the amount ( every penny is very much appreciated) and if you don’t have the means to donate please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and share the hell oit of this.
