We all know life has curveballs and there’s never a ‘good time’ for health problems to arise. Unfortunately our best laid plans can turn upside down at what seems like the absolute worst time and to some of the most undeserving people like Robert Friedl and his love Mykayla Steele.
Robert and Mykayla are high school sweethearts, waiting to close on and move into their first home in literally days which is a contingency for Mykayla to launch a new daycare center she’s been planning for awhile. Did I mention they’re also still planning to celebrate their love at their wedding celebration in several months? After more than 10 years of milestones together and arguably some of the most major life events ahead, things derailed suddenly.
In early August, just like any other morning, Robert went to work. Within hours Robert had a major seizure and was immediately transported to a local hospital. After stabilizing him on seizure medication, medical exams and MRIs it became shockingly & terrifyingly clear the cause; Robert was diagnosed with a large tumor in the right lobe of his brain the size of an orange (yes, you read that right). The tumor was emergently removed and sent for biopsy which is expected to return after 5-10 days. As many know, these days of waiting can be hell but we are all hopeful to hear of a good prognosis. While Robert’s prognosis and recovery plans remain in limbo, it all feels scary and painful. Meanwhile the obstacles are stacking up; Robert is going to discharge home soon, yet they have to move out in a couple of weeks as their lease is up (as they planned and are hoping to still move into the home they’ve been working so hard to buy). Many of us remember how stressful a new house can be, not to mention with these circumstances of missed work and the stress of caring for a loved one during an eminent move. They need our help and support
I am asking for your financial donations to help keep them afloat while they digest this new reality and cope with the unknowns of such a major life event. These funds will help support mortgage payments, moving expenses, medical expenses & medications, food, necessities and time to heal. While we all wish we could help in some other way, money can be the best option so they can make decisions about how and where support is needed most.
These two individuals have bottomless hearts and love that is palpable and big. They deserve, just like all of us, to keep their dreams alive and spend their days without undeserved hardships that can cost them big.
Please help in any way you can to support Robert and Mykayla as they continue to work through the intensity of this scary time. Literally every dollar helps.Thank you in advance for all your generosity and kindness.
