Hi everyone, my name is Robert, and I’m a longtime bass player in the Portland music community. Many of you know me from my work with the Rae Gordon Band, the Jacob Daniel Band, Johnny Outlaw and the Johnson Creek Stranglers, as well as from countless gigs, fill-ins, and shows over the years. Music has been my life, my joy, and my livelihood.

On November 24th, 2025, I was diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing treatment. As I face the coming months of appointments, procedures, and recovery, I’ve made the difficult decision to step back from performing. As a full-time working musician, this means losing the income I rely on to cover my basic monthly living expenses.

I am humbly asking for support to help me stay afloat during treatment. Your generosity will go directly toward covering essential bills such as rent, utilities, groceries, and insurance. This support will allow me to keep my home stable and focus on healing without the added stress of falling behind financially.
