Support Robert Costa and Family During His Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Patricia. My husband and I are fundraising for our friend Robert Costa and his family as he recovers from blood clots and surgery.
Robert Costa, a U.S. veteran, served in the United States Marines for 8 years. He has been married to his wife Leizel Costa for 22 1/2 years and they have two amazing teenage boys. Robert has worked hard to support his family in Colorado as a FedEx driver since 2001.
On the night of March 8th, 2024, Robert was playing with his sons, as they so often do. The next morning, he told his wife he was having severe pain in his leg and was not able to feel his foot. She took him to the emergency room where they found 3 blood clots in his leg. Unfortunately, the doctor was only able to reach two of the clots. In order to save Robert's life they were forced to amputate his leg. Following the surgery, Robert was in a coma for a month and suffered an infection in the amputated leg. Since coming out of the coma Robert has undergone 3 additional leg surgeries.
Robert has finally been released to go home where his wife and sons have been supporting him on his long road to recovery. He is not able to work at this time as he is healing and medical bills are rolling in. His family is also trying to modify their home for his accessibility with limited funds and resources. If your heart allows, please join in helping the Costa family during this challenging time.
Thank you so much for your contributions!
