Our dad, Robert Cole, is facing the fight of his life. He has been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer, with numerous tumors and lesions that have spread throughout his body. His cancer is inoperable, and while he’s receiving pain medication and support, the only treatment path available to him is through holistic and alternative care. These treatments, along with his ongoing medical needs, are extremely expensive.
As his children, we have created this GoFundMe to help ease the burden of these costs and to give our dad the care and comfort he deserves.
About Robert:
Robert’s life has been defined by service and love. He proudly served in both the Navy and the Army, dedicating almost two decades of his life (10 years active, 8 years inactive) to serving our country. After losing his first wife to breast cancer, Robert continued to raise their four children with strength and dedication. When he later married Jennifer, he didn’t hesitate for a moment to step in as a father to her four children as well. Overnight, he became a dad of eight—and he has never skipped a beat in loving and guiding us all.
Today, Robert is also a grandpa to 17 grandchildren, each of whom adores their “Papa.” But beyond being a husband, father, and papa, what Robert is most proud of is being a follower of Jesus. His faith has been the foundation of his life, and he has led our family as a Godly example of love, humility, and strength.
Why We’re Asking for Help:
The road ahead is difficult, but we want to do everything we can to support our dad in this fight. Donations to this fund will go toward:
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance, including holistic treatments and natural therapies that are his only path forward.
- Pain management and comfort care to improve his quality of life at home — this may include things like a hospital bed, mobility scooter, or accessibility updates to his house.
- Travel expenses so that all of his children, including those out of state, can have the chance to visit, help out, and spend precious time with him during this season.
How You Can Help:
Robert has always been the one to give of himself—whether through military service, raising a big blended family, taking in anyone as his own or living out his faith daily. Now, we humbly ask for your help in giving back to him.
Any amount you feel led to give will go directly toward supporting Robert’s fight, easing his burden, and allowing him to spend more time surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and beloved wife Jennifer.
