Hello, My name is Tabitha Cherry and I am doing this Go Fund Me for My Dad Robert Cherry. He has a had a rough few years. He has Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Early last year he developed a spot above his left eye that gave concern. His dermatologist, Wiregrass Dermatology, did a biopsy and discovered it was Melanoma. Due to the cancer's position close to his eye they referred him to the City of Hope in Newnan, Georgia. Dr. Kim removed the melanoma, but subsequent follow ups showed that the cancer had drained into his neck. He has had two more surgeries on his neck to stop the spread and one surgery on his arm to remove the melanoma. The follow ups in December 2024 determined that he has three melanoma tumors. Two in his neck and one in his upper chest. Dad has to have radiation therapy and infusion therapy. The radiation therapy will be for six consecutive weeks five days a week. Radiation will target the surgery area and the place on his chest where the tumors are. Radiation will kill the tumors as well as any melanoma cells in that area. This should stop the cancer from returning there. The infusion therapy will attack any melanoma cancer cells all over his body before they become tumors.
