Hello, my name is Robby and I am now a 39-year-old stroke survivor humbly asking for your help!

Three weeks ago, I was in bed on my phone when suddenly my hands went numb and then I lost control over the rest of my body. Everything seemed like it returned back to normal for the most part, but then I realized I couldn’t speak, write, or text. Thankfully, my girlfriend Jenn was home to rush me to the hospital where I received emergency medical services including CT scans, an MRI, and ultrasounds of my legs and my heart.

During a four day stay in the hospital my symptoms eased somewhat, but I am not out of the woods yet. I am continuing my rehabilitation journey with lots of rest and therapy (speech, occupational, physical and I suspect there will be more to come) as well as a continued stream of appointments with my doctors and care team.

As some of you may know, my Dad and I were in the final stages of opening up a new restaurant, The Shore Shack, which I poured my entire heart, soul and all of my money into, in order to get it across the finish line.

Unfortunately, at the worst possible time I have to take a step back from the opening efforts to take care of myself. The temporary delay leaves me with no consistent income, with our family’s existing restaurant, Breakers, being unable to support two different households and all the expenses this medical emergency has brought.

I have an amazing network full of love and support and I am doing my best to get by, but it won’t be enough to cover my monthly expenses while I focus on getting better. This is truly an unimaginable situation to put my life plans on hold, and I am forever grateful for any amount you're willing to contribute to my goal.
