Support Robbies Fight Against Brain Cancer

On 22nd February 2026, we were told Robbie has a brain tumour and our lives changed overnight.

Robbie is 30 years old. Dad to 2 beautiful girls, a step-dad, a partner, a brother, a son, a nephew and a friend to many.

The words ‘there is no cure’ will stay with us forever.

Robbie is now living with grade 4 brain cancer

He deserves more time to spend with his family and without further treatment, we don’t know if he will get this time.

How did this happen?
Following 2 weeks of severe headaches, dizziness, blurred vision and multiple trips to the GP and A&E his symptoms were put down to migraines. There were 3 missed opportunities to scan Robbie and doctors told him ‘you’re young, fit and healthy - scans only show bad things like tumours’. We trusted their expertise and went home with more migraine meds. Ultimately, Robbie collapsed at home and finally received a CT scan confirming the devastating news. This scan took no more than 30 minutes.

Robbie was then rushed by ambulance to the QEU Neurology department. After a week of being on strong steroids to take down the swelling, we were told he had a blood clot in the brain and the tumour was a Grade 4 Glioblastoma (GBM).

Reality of brain cancer
A glioblastoma is the most aggressive form of brain cancer and it’s the biggest cancer killer in children and under 40s and the treatment for Glioblastoma has been the same for the last 30 years which is only chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

87% of those diagnosed with a glioblastoma survive 2 years and an average survival is often 12-18 months.

We need your help
Robbie’s NHS treatment will not continue forever and, unfortunately there are no further options available in the UK, other than NHS trials, which Robbie needs to meet a strict criteria. Therefore, we have been told we can find other treatments but these would be private and at a cost. These types of treatments could extend Robbie’s life and give us more time as a family. As we know, there is no cure but it gives us hope and that’s all we have right now.

To access other treatments like immunotherapy treatment or CAR-T therapy abroad, we need to raise a considerable about of money which is estimated at £200,000. All funds raised will pay for Robbies treatment, any associated costs and follow-up care.

Any unused funds for treatment will be donated to the Brains Trust to progress the charity’s work to support people living with a brain tumour, and their families.

We are asking for your support and to donate to Robbies treatment fund. Any amount you can afford is kindly received, as every penny, will contribute towards getting more time together as a family.

If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, and for helping Robbie keep fighting this cruel disease.

Lots of love to you and yours ❤️
