Support Robbie’s Family After Heart Crisis

Hello everyone! On the 9th, Robbie went in for what was expected to be a routine angiogram. During the procedure, he suffered a massive heart attack and coded. Thanks to the quick action of an incredible medical team, the use of the LUCAS machine, and multiple life-saving shocks, Robbie was brought back. He spent several days in the ICU supported by both an ECMO and an Impella machine, fighting to stabilize his heart. After showing steady improvement, he was moved to the cardiac unit, and for a moment it truly felt like the worst was behind him. Plans were being made for discharge with a cardiac Life Vest and a long road of recovery at home. Unfortunately, Robbie experienced signs of another heart attack. A blood clot had formed in one of his newly placed stents (six stents were placed on the 9th, bringing his total to fifteen). He was rushed back to the Cath Lab, where his heart stopped again. By God’s grace and the skill of his care team, Robbie was revived once more. Since then, Robbie has been in the ICU and now the cardiac unit, going in and out of atrial fibrillation with frequent tachycardia. Medication adjustments continue, but his heart remains fragile, and additional procedures are being carefully weighed as he is still too weak to endure more invasive interventions. Complications at the incision sites from multiple ECMO and Impella placements have also created infection and he will undergo yet another surgery which prolongs his hospital stay and this has required involvement from vascular and infectious disease specialists. As of now, Robbie has been hospitalized for 19 days, and it is still unclear when he will be able to safely return home.

Throughout all of this, Stephanie has remained by Robbie’s side—away from home, family, work, and normal life—doing everything she can to support his recovery. Their youngest daughter, Journey, has been between the hospital and back home, missing her parents and holding things together with the help of her older sister and friends. The financial and emotional toll on this family has been immense. Being in a different town for an extended, unexpected hospitalization has created significant financial strain. Neither Robbie nor Stephanie has been able to work during this time, while expenses continue to add up—hotel stays, meals, gas, medical-related costs, and the ongoing uncertainty of how long they will need to remain away from home. We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult season, allowing Stephanie to stay focused on caring for Robbie and supporting their family without the added stress of mounting expenses. If you are able to give, please know that no amount is too small and every bit helps. If you’re unable to give, continued prayers, love, and sharing this fundraiser are deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing with this family during a very uncertain, difficult journey.
