Help Rob Wunder Fight Leukemia
On July 3rd, our dad—Rob Wunder—was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The very next day, he was admitted to MD Anderson at Cooper in Camden, NJ, where he’ll be undergoing intensive chemotherapy for several weeks. This diagnosis was sudden and devastating. It’s hard to put into words what our dad means to us and to the many lives he’s touched.
Rob has spent his entire life giving to others. He’s a former Father of the Year, a dedicated football player and coach, and a beloved physical education teacher who always believed in lifting others up. Most importantly, he’s the primary caregiver to Robbie, his quadriplegic son—a role he has taken on with unmatched love and selflessness for the last 19 years.
Even now, at 66, he continues to work tirelessly as a landscaper, doing everything he can to support our family. But leukemia has brought that to a sudden stop. He won’t be able to return to work this season—and we don’t know what the future holds.
We’re raising funds to help cover out of pocket medical expenses and replace the income he is losing while he fights this battle. Every dollar will go directly toward helping him stay afloat while he focuses on healing. This will go towards his healthcare and basic expenses—groceries, bills, gas for treatment, and anything else he needs during this time.
This fundraiser is organized by his kids, Hailey and Robbie. We are doing this because we know how hard it is for our dad to ask for help—but he has spent his life showing up for others, and now he needs others to show up for him.
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if you can’t give right now, we’d be so grateful if you could share this with your friends and family.
With love and gratitude,
Hailey & Robbie Wunder
