I’m writing this on behalf of my brother’s Army buddy, Pettigrew, who is going through an incredibly tough and unexpected situation.

Recently, a major water line break occurred at their home. What started as an emergency repair quickly turned into a financial nightmare. The repair alone cost several thousand dollars, draining what little savings he had. Shortly after, he was hit with a utility bill totaling over $5,500 for water and electricity as a result of the break.

On a fixed income, there is simply no way to absorb costs like this without help. These bills are overwhelming and threaten his ability to keep up with basic living expenses.
