This fundraiser is in support of my partner, Rob Russo.
On the morning of May 22, just two weeks before Rob's 38th birthday, I woke up to him having a seizure in his sleep. After being taken via ambulance to two different hospitals and receiving multiple tests it has been determined that Rob has a brain tumor growing in his left frontal lobe.
While we have yet to determine the type of tumor, we do know it needs to come out. On July 15, Rob will be going to Mass General Brigham in Boston to have brain surgery.
Considering the potential bills, the 3+ months we are anticipating he will be out of work, the time off I will need to take as a caregiver and the unknowns of brain surgery and future testing/treatments, we are graciously asking for your help.
As a self-employed commercial fisherman and mobile welder, Rob's entire life has changed. He is out of work for an undetermined amount of time, unable to drive for 6-months due to having a documented seizure and with his career, he doesn't have access to the traditional help disability insurance can provide.
We know times are tough for all, but if you are able to donate or share, we would greatly appreciate it during this scary and unfamiliar time in our lives.
Thank you for your consideration!
With love and kindness,
Sarah, Rob and the pups
