Hi family and friends,

In early September, Rob began having headaches that would not go away, having recently gotten the Covid shot he assumed this was a side effect of the shot. When weeks passed and there was no relief from the headaches, he went to the doctor.

On October 26, 2021, Rob Bumgardner - our no BS, grab life by the seat of your pants husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend - was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer that has metastasized to his brain. We have created this fundraiser to support Rob both emotionally and financially as he begins his journey down the treatment and recovery path.

If you know Rob, you know he is a fighter, a warrior and he has a hell of a fight on his hands. He had a large tumor removed, which was cancerous, but he also has 4 smaller tumors on his brain and a spot on his lung. Rob’s treatment plan includes chemotherapy every 3 weeks for 18 weeks, as well as immunotherapy and radiation treatments. Since the initial diagnosis and during his treatment and recovery, Rob is unable to work. The goal of this fundraiser is to raise enough funds to cover daily living expenses (groceries, rent, utilities, etc.) and initial medical bills for the next few months allowing him to focus all of his efforts on his treatments.
