Rob has been a beloved bartender at Bistro for years, known for his infectious energy and the way he greets every guest by name, making each person feel truly seen. His warmth and generosity have created a community where people feel at home, and his ability to lift spirits is unmatched. Even during the most challenging times, Rob has always put others first, offering help and kindness to anyone who needs it. Most people never realized the struggles he faced at home, as he kept his focus on bringing joy to those around him.
Rob’s wife, Debbie, has battled severe COPD for the past three years, enduring two life-threatening exacerbations and spending time on a ventilator. Through it all, Rob has been her steadfast caregiver, dedicating his time outside of work to support her recovery and advocate for her health. After months of medical evaluations and tireless effort, Debbie was placed on the transplant list in October 2024. In July 2025, she received a double lung transplant at Inova Transplant Center in Washington, DC, and is now in recovery, working toward a healthier future.
Rob has taken a leave from work to be by Debbie’s side, which means facing significant financial challenges—medical bills, travel expenses, lost income, and the cost of staying near the hospital for ongoing appointments. Now, as Rob and Debbie navigate this difficult journey, it’s our turn to support the person who has always brought light to our lives. Any contribution will help ease their burden and show Rob just how much he means to this community. Your generosity will make a real difference, and Rob would be deeply grateful for every bit of support.
