Support Rob Cragg and family during the burn recovery

Donation protected

Rob Cragg suffered significant burns while assisting in a preventative burn off on his parent's property on Friday August 23, requiring significant medical attention and time in hospital.

This Go Fund Me is to ask for finanical support you may be able to provide Rob, Jess and their young daughter Issy Cragg during this difficult and uncertain time.

After the accident, Rob was admitted to hospital and will require surgery and a prolonged recovery, and Jess will need to spend significant time supporting Rob and caring for little Issy. Both may require time away from work.

Rob, Jess and Issy Cragg moved from Adelaide to Brisbane in late 2023 to be closer to their family. During their time in Adelaide, the Cragg family left their mark by advocacting for the NICU community and raising funds and awareness for the cause. Rob was a member of the McLaren Vale winemaking community and Jess was an anaesthetic nurse at Flinders Medical Centre. By their nature they are loving, caring and compassionate people always offering help to others.

Recently in Brisbane, they have been hard at work building a new community. Rob and Jess both found new jobs, they recently purchased a home and they have started building a new, but strong network of friends in Brisbane.

Thank you for any support you can provide the Cragg family.

* Update Saturday 24 August *
Rob is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and is being assessed by the consultant.

* Update Sunday 25 August *
Rob is responding well to medication and is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Doctors have said he has had mostly positives so far.
We appreciate all the kind words and support from loving friends and family!

* Update Monday 26 August *
Rob underwent surgery to clean all of the burns and to have them dressed appropriately. Although this was a big surgery everything went as to be excepted and he is back in ICU recovering.

He has a long road ahead of him. He will most likely need at least one more surgery before he is discharged from hospital in a number of weeks time. At this stage they are prioritising the management of Rob's pain.

Thank you so so much for all the love and support! It is because of all this support that we have been able to find the strength to keep going. We will never be able to adequately express how grateful we truly are to each and everyone of you!
