Hello everyone. As many of you know our beautiful mother, Brenda Blatt, was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma at the beginning of September. Since her cancer diagnosis, on top of chemotherapy she has had five bouts of pancreatitis, developed a pneumothorax, pneumonia, had a feeding tube placed, and unfortunately developed sepsis during this past hospital stay. Recently, she was hospitalized again over Thanksgiving and is still in the hospital at this time. Unfortunately, due to her diagnosis she is no longer able to work as an elementary school substitute teacher which she loved so very much. Our father, Rob, has been by her side supporting her, as well as taking care of the household, trying to cover the bills, and unexpected medical costs. At this point, he has unfortunately used all of his vacation and sick leave and is now having to take leave from work without pay. Between this and the medical bills, we are concerned for their financial well being and want our dad to be able to focus on mom, and not the bills that are stacking up. We know that this is a very hard time of year to ask for financial assistance, and truly appreciate any and all help.
